Deepest Blue

Deepest Blue is the acclaimed duo of singer-songwriter Joel Edwards and producer Matt Schwartz. Together, they have collaborated with some of the biggest names in music—Joel with Chicane, and Matt with Massive Attack, as well as being the creative force behind the iconic club anthem “The Drill.” Matt is currently producing and collaborating with Yungblud.

Their breakout single “Deepest Blue” was championed by Pete Tong, signed to Ministry of Sound, and quickly became one of Ibiza’s defining anthems in 2003, reaching #7 on the UK singles chart. Follow-up hits like “Give It Away” (UK #9) and “Is It A Sin” (UK #24) cemented their status as one of the most recognisable acts in early 2000s dance music.

In 2025 Deepest Blue returned with a collaboration alongside Goom Gum, delivering a fresh rework that received major industry support—including tune of the week on Armin Van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance.’  Radio support came from Fred V remix – Carlie Tee (BBC Radio 1). Also remixes by the legendary Ferry Corstan.

Staying true to their roots while evolving for today’s dancefloors, Deepest Blue continues to make an impact in the world of electronic music’s.
