Kelly Llorenna, a prominent dance singer, was born in Upminster, Greater London, and grew up in Oldham, Lancashire. Her music career began in 1993 as a member of the dance act N-Trance, lending her vocals to “Set You Free,” which initially did not achieve success. However, after multiple re-releases, the song skyrocketed up the UK charts in January 1995.
In the same year, she embarked on her solo career with the song “Brighter Day,” which nearly reached the UK top 40. In 1997, she rejoined N-Trance for their cover of Rod Stewart’s hit “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy,” which became a UK top 10 hit. She continued to lend her voice to their hits, including covers of Guns N’ Roses’ “Paradise City” and the Jackson 5’s “Shake Ya Body”.
In 2001, she collaborated with Flip N Fill on “True Love Never Dies,” which, upon re-release in 2002, became a top 10 hit. She then released a solo album in 2002 titled “All Clubbed Up,” featuring her most well-known works, including a cover of Taylor Dayne’s “Tell It To My Heart,” which entered the UK top 10 in October 2002, and a new version of “Heart of Gold,” a song she originally recorded with Force & Styles in 1998.
In 2004, Kelly reached the UK top 15 with a cover of Donna Summer’s “This Time I Know It’s For Real.” She is now a respected figure within the world of club music.
