Luvain
Luvain is an established international artist, having built her career as a session singer, lending her smooth, heartful vocals to live studio work, adverts, and live performances with several artists (D:REAM, Billy Ray Martin, NJOI, Erasure, Paul Masterson aka Yomanda, Amen UK, & Blue Adonis, to name but a few). Her experience spans a wide range of genres including Commercial Dance, House, Euro House, Underground House, Electronic, Pop, and Gospel.
Luvain was a key member of the Dance-Pop sensation D:REAM in the mid 1990’s. Back then, Luvain toured with D:REAM, supporting Take That on their ‘Everything Changes’ Tour, which was Instrumental in rocketing D:REAM to success with their 1994 UK Number One hit ‘Things Can Only Get Better’, topping the UK Single Charts for four weeks, and went on to have world-wide success. Following the success of this single, Luvain travelled across the world with the band, singing live in international arenas, and on several D:REAM music videos including those for ‘U R The Best Thing’ (UK#4) and ‘Take Me Away’ (UK#18).
Luvain is best known for her collaboration with the UK Dance Act Amen UK. Their debut ‘Passion’ was released on the ‘legendary’ dance label Positiva, entering the UK Top 40 at Number 15 in 1997 securing them an appearance on Top of The Pops. ‘Passion’ went on to have international chart success and has become a huge dance anthem of the 90’s. The track was so INFECTIOUS that clubbers generated their very own ‘Passion’ dance routine which went viral, before the days of social media! ‘Passion’ was produced by renowned DJ and Producer Paul Masterson (aka ‘Yomanda/Wand’), who went on to join Amen UK with Panos Liassi, and Luvain.
Luvain toured extensively performing ‘Passion’ on the festival and club circuit, and to promote their follow up single ’People of Love’ reaching the UK Top 40. Luvain’s phenomenal live performances generated an electric buzz around the song, with audiences of 10,000 chanting along to ‘Passion’, (and doing that dance). Luvain’s luminous sky-high stage presence and charisma, her extensive vocal range and climactic mid-track scream, transports audiences to the point of release and euphoria.
‘Passion 2021’ entered the new era with Scottish rising star Ewan McVicar, bringing a fresh take on this 90’s classic. Amplifying all the best parts of the original whilst firmly stamping his own production flavour across this anthem. ‘Passion 2021’ went on to become a Number One in the UK Dance Chart.
2023 sees Luvain performing live shows. She is collaborating with some of the best international DJs and producers on some exciting projects including new material with NJOI and is featured on their Hidden Gems EP, Volume 1 and 2 which also features their legacy singer Saffron from Republica.
