Matthew Joseph is an independent pop artist and songwriter from Holyhead, North Wales. His love of pop goes beyond the songs themselves, with a big appreciation for the fashion, choreography and larger than life performances that have shaped the artists he grew up watching.
Having built his career independently, Matthew has performed internationally, including at Las Vegas and Maspalomas Pride. His shows bring together original music live vocals, dancers and a visual style that reflects his love of pop performance.
His work spans music and television, with collaborations including Myah Marie and appearances alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race star Derek Barry, radio support for his releases and a documentary available on ITVX and BBC iPlayer. A finalist in the open mic and soundwaves Music Competition, Matthew continues to write and release music on his own terms.
Proud of his Welsh roots and queer identity, Matthew’s music draws on personal experiences while looking firmly towards pop’s future. With new single “Dor” arriving in November 2026 and a debut album campaign in the works, Matthew is looking forward to the next chapter of his career, reaching new audiences and continuing to grow as an independent pop artist.
