Michael Kilkie

Michael Kilkie has been a leading figure in Scotland’s dance scene for over 30 years, holding legendary residencies at Glasgow’s Tunnel, The Arches, and The Rhumba Club. His DJ career has taken him worldwide — from the USA to Hong Kong, Ibiza to Jamaica — playing iconic venues like Cream, Gatecrasher, Ministry of Sound, and Privilege, alongside pioneers including Pete Tong, Frankie Knuckles, Roger Sanchez, Sasha, and Carl Cox.

Starting out at Glasgow’s famed 23rd Precinct record shop, Kilkie released music on Limbo Records under his Deep Piece alias before co-founding Umboza, whose 1995 anthem “Cry India” became a global hit on Positiva Records.

Michael continues to innovate with his own nights Electric Dreams and Guilty Pleasures, plus residencies at StreetRave and Colours at SWG3, reimagining classic 90s club anthems with fresh energy for modern crowds.
