ROZALLA aka The Queen Of Rave has been successfully performing since her earlier teens. Having had five No. 1 hits in Zimbabwe before relocating to the UK in 1988 to work with the Band of Gypsies. Her first UK release in 1990 “Born to Luv Ya”, went on to become a UK club hit, and establish Rozalla as a dance club favourite.
1991 saw the release of her classic dance anthem “Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)” which peaked at No. 6 in the UK Charts and went on to be an internationally Top Ten hit. Her debut album “Everybody’s Free” was also released in this year and went on to achieve Silver and peaked at No. 20 in the UK Album Chart. Rozalla also released “Faith (In The Power of Love)”peaking at No. 11 in the UK Charts.
In 1992 “Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)” entered the US Billboard Top 40 to much acclaim. Billboard Magazine have ranked Rozalla as ‘The 98th most successful dance artiste of all time. February of 1992 saw the release of “Are You To Fly”peaking at No. 14 in the UK Charts. At the request of Michael Jackson, Rozalla in 1992 supported and opened all the UK and European dates of Michael Jacksons ‘Dangerous’ world tour.
At the end of 1993 Rozalla released her version of “I Love Music”, which was the theme song to the film “Carlito’s Way” reaching No. 18 in February 1994. This was followed by the release of “This Time I Found Love” (No. 33 in August 1994), and “You Never Love The Same Way Twice”(No. 16 in October 1994). The later was taken from her second album “Look No Further” which has more of a soulful and R&B feel then her previous album. In March of 1995 “Baby” was released and peaked at No. 26.
Rozalla continues to collaborate with numerus producers, DJs, and artistes releasing both original and re-releases of her chart hits. She also remains in constant demand for live shows, festivals, television, and media worldwide. The single “Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)” was used by Arla Cravendale Milk in their TV campaign (October 2022).
